I'm Hanna, a product designer based in San Diego with over 4 years of experience designing products in fintech and embedded finance. That time was spent at Upward Financial, where I joined as the first full-time hire outside the founding team. Working at an early-stage startup taught me to thrive in ambiguity, move quickly without sacrificing quality, and help shape products from the ground up. It also reinforced that trust isn't just a feature. It's something every design decision should earn.

I'm drawn to solving problems that have a real impact on people's lives. I care about the details that make products feel intuitive instead of overwhelming, and trustworthy instead of intimidating. AI is now a core part of my design process, helping me explore ideas, challenge assumptions, and iterate faster so I can spend more time solving the right problems.

Outside of work, you'll usually find me outside enjoying the sunshine tax, traveling somewhere new, or spending time with senior rescue animals.
